Its a Thursday evening, I am just about to retire to bed. Before I do though, I thought I would share a few things. be warned that I have just finished watching the 200th episode of grey's anatomy and an epic episode 2 of the second season of Scandal, so do not be surprised if my ideas are a little bit dramatic, or a bit too hyped, to say the least -Shonda Rhymes does that to me, sometimes :-)
Today, was one of those days were I feel like I had one of those 'Aha' moments like Oprah likes to call them. The thing about 'aha' moments is that they are hard to explain. But, let me try, technically, it is like one of those moments when you feel like you suddenly have a sudden deeper understanding of things, or life in general. Two, no make it three, things particularly stand out to me; I will rephrase them as best I can.
- " I can only get better" - just tell yourself that, for those moments when you feel like you suck(pardon my french) or feel absolutely pathetic!- I got that line from a movie, but it makes a lot of sense! ( the movie is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMSkbH0LuTc) great movie by the way!
- Be grateful! - Ever had one of those days, were you do not want to get up, do not want anyone to talk or be spoken to, do not want to think anything at all, basically if you had your way, you would just stay in bed and be grouchy? Well, today was one of those days for me. But as I was getting ready for the day, getting ready to go to work, I had that 'aha' moment like I said and I realized that all I can do in life is just be grateful. Be grateful for every single breath, for every little thing...now for those introverts out there just like me, you don't have to say it, sometimes you can just think it!...and that will be enough!...you will get around to saying it eventually, when you are up to it! But if you are an extrovert and have no issues at all with expressing yourself, then go for it!...let your #positivity out!....spread the positivity!!!!
- The other 'aha' moment, actually occurred at work, which was kind of cool, because I was totally not expecting it. We were about to have a webinar, to learn about the interoperability of the software we use at work. Believe me you, but the first words I heard from the presenter when I sat down at the table where - " There is nothing wrong or right here, only what works for you" - now don't get me wrong, I do believe that there is right and wrong otherwise there would be no boundaries, no laws, chaos, crazy criminals would do as they please whenever and wherever, so we do need some laws in society to keep us on track- (and personally in life-#theBible) BUT, I think sometimes, especially as young people, it is so easy to be afraid of making the wrong choice- like in our careers, choosing a spouse, buying clothes online[ for the shopaholics out there ;-)]....but the reality is, just find what works for you, and that is enough...do not worry about whether it is right or wrong. Because like someone once said to me, "..not everything in life is black or white, sometimes they are grey....or pink ;-P)
